The World Bank, Blueing the Black Sea team, in cooperation with the Commission on the Protection of the Black Sea Against Pollution, is organizing a Technical Meeting/webinar on the 18 May 2022, from 3:00pm (Istanbul time); 1:00pm (CET); 7:00am DC time.

The objective of the webinar is to validate the findings of the draft regional report on pollution in the Black Sea. This study, funded by the World Bank PROBLUE trust fund, is a key part of the BBSEA. The regional report builds on the analysis conducted through 6 national diagnostics, 4 financed from PROBLUE (Georgia, Moldova, Turkey, and Ukraine) and 2 by the World Bank (Romania and Bulgaria.)

The development objective of the report is to improve national and regional knowledge on sources, prevention, and mitigation of key marine pollutants, specifically nutrient and chemical, in the Black Sea, and strengthen the case for improved regional collaboration.

This virtual event will be held via Zoom and the working language is English.
